NY Times Coverage of Reversal of RRD Defense Verdict

RRD attorney Catherine S. Nietzel was interviewed about her reaction to the Appellate Court’s reversal of the defendant’s verdict she obtained in 2008 defending a psychiatric hospital on a wrongful death claim.

The Appellate Court reversed the defendant’s verdict on the grounds that the trial judge improperly refused to poll the jury about an article that had appeared in the New York Times a few days before the start of evidence in a case involving a suicide at a psychiatric hospital.
