Update: CT Civil Case Docket

March 20, 2020

Dear Valued Clients and Colleagues:

As the situation regarding the COVID-19 virus continues to evolve, we want to give you an update on its impact on Connecticut litigation and how our firm is dealing with it to protect your interests.

All State Court civil trials, trial management conferences, pre-trials, status conferences, J-ADR mediations and short calendars, arguable and non-arguable, have been cancelled until further notice. In addition, on March 19, Governor Ned Lamont issued Executive Order 7G, which addressed civil matters in CT. In short, all statutes of limitations are suspended for the duration of his order. All non-critical Court operations are suspended.

The Federal Courts have suspended all trials until April 10, but we suspect that date will be pushed out. Similarly, all non-critical functions are suspended.

Ryan Ryan Deluca remains open. We have taken steps which allow our dedicated staff and attorneys to continue working in a safe environment. Many of us are working from home. Those who do come into the office are doing so on a rotating basis and observing best practices to contain the spread of the virus.

All of our cases are being handled as they always have been. We are protecting the interests of our clients by filing the necessary pleadings and continuing to respond to and pursue discovery. Case progression will be slower, however, as lawyers and clients are cancelling depositions. We are making all efforts to keep discovery moving, such as remote video depositions, in order to continue to bring cases to resolution.

Ryan Ryan Deluca is here for you. Please be safe.
