Ryan Ryan DeLuca Volunteer Corps Support Competitors at DOMUS NINER Cross Fit Fundraising Event
RRD Volunteer Corps team led by Beck S. Fineman Esq., was part of a group of 100 volunteers that served at the annual DOMUS "NINER" fundraising event. Over 130 athletes competed in a CrossFit-style competition which included a 499-yard swim in the Long Island Sound, 49 burpees, 199 lunges, 299 seconds of plank-hold, 79 hand-release push-ups and concluded with a 0.99 mile run. The event raised over $270,000 for DOMUS, a Stamford-based nonprofit serving the most struggling youth in Stamford and New Haven since 1972, seeking "to create the conditions necessary for them to get on a path toward health and opportunity so they can succeed in school and ultimately lead satisfying and productive lives.” Through this NINER event, the RRD Volunteer Corps expanded its relationship with DOMUS, which the RRD volunteers have been helping to support since 2012. The RRD Volunteer Corps was founded in 2012 in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and, since then, RRD lawyers, staff and families have teamed up with numerous charitable organizations throughout Fairfield County.
