Rebecca N. Brindley


Rebecca N. Brindley has been practicing in the area of professional malpractice for over a decade. She is primarily engaged in the defense of medical malpractice, pharmaceutical malpractice, legal malpractice, and product liability actions. She regularly represents hospitals, physicians, nurses, nursing homes, healthcare institutions, pharmacists, corporations, attorneys, and law firms in all matters of professional negligence. She maintains an active practice in both state and federal court.

Rebecca is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and Illinois. She is also admitted to the United States District Court in Connecticut and the Northern District of Illinois. Prior to joining Ryan Ryan Deluca, Rebecca gained extensive experience defending medical malpractice lawsuits in New York City, Boston, and Chicago.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Lafayette College, where she graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa. She attended Loyola University Chicago School of Law and graduated in the top 10 of her class. While attending law school at night, Rebecca simultaneously worked as a paralegal for a medical malpractice law firm in Chicago.

Representative medical malpractice experience includes defending lawsuits claiming wrongful death and permanent injury due to surgical malpractice, including da Vinci Robotic-Assisted Surgery, failure to diagnose a cerebral aneurysm in the emergency department, incorrect administration of anticoagulants leading to a stroke, anesthesiology errors, catastrophic birth injuries, nursing home negligence involving improper wound care, failure to diagnose a heart attack in a post-surgical patient, improper dispensation of pharmaceutical medications, social worker negligence in the care of a psychiatric patient, non-healing wounds after plastic surgery, and failed cervical graft after spinal surgery.

Representative legal malpractice experience includes defending lawyers and law firms in the areas of estate law, family law and divorce matters, litigation, tax law, and real estate law. 

Rebecca is committed to using her expertise to serve the public and to assist self-represented litigants gain access to justice. She has participated in the Volunteer Attorney Program for family matters where she educated and advised self-represented Connecticut residents with divorce and custody matters, providing them with the tools and knowledge to effectively advocate for themselves. While in New York, she regularly volunteered for the Monday Night Law Program where she provided clinic-based legal advice in the areas of housing, employment, family, consumer, small business, and bankruptcy law to help self-represented clients understand and find solutions to their legal issues. In Chicago, she served as a guardian ad litem. 

Rebecca is an active member of the Fairfield County Bar Association and the Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association.  She lives in Wilton, CT with her husband and three boys.
